The end... folks!

Today is a big milestone in my life. My long journey came to an end with my final exam. Well, it felt like only yesterday. I remember vividly how Black's Introduction to Microbiology captivated me when I first read about germs and the germs theories etc.

It has been a long 7.5 years, one of the most interesting and challenging times of my life. Doing a degree has been my dream for the last 30 years and I have finally realised that dream. Can hardly believe it.

Feels kind of sad to leave this journey now that I'm finished. I suppose it's human nature. What will life be like without the assignments and deadlines? Bliss? Will find out soon. At the same time I look forward to having a break, catching up on some reading and perhaps go back to my painting. There's a lot to think about because I haven't given it much thought.

Well, thanks Cynthia and Peter for your support and to all my fellow students for your help these few weeks, it has been great.

I would also like to thank my husband who started me on this journey, for his support, for teaching me how to write better reports/papers, for his reading and critiquing every paper that I've ever written! For also putting up with my arguing and defending what I thought was right. Without him, my dream would be just that--a dream.

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same!

Kipling

Here's to another dream!
